Passionate for Passion…
In 2000, and at my beautiful wife’s encouragement, I traveled to Venice, Italy in search of inspiration and Carnevale di Venezia (Carnival of Venice).
When you are open to experiencing your environment, it becomes very easy to immerse yourself in creativity. This was my creative experience of a lifetime. From the Ponte di Rialto (Rialto Bridge) I walked by a shop and was called in by the musical overtones of Joni Mitchell. La Bottega dei Mascareri.
The Right Place…
Being in the right place at the right time is only part of the equation. I see moments, rare opportunities before they come to fruition.
I spotted this woman at Laguna Beach after I shot Vanessa and Pats wedding. Out on the balcony -up eight stories, I could see the water dance with the sand, and overtake the woman’s foot prints. Her hat was casting amazing shadows on the sand. The play of her silhouette and the water line came together in this shot for me.
